![]() 1 large egg (we made a batch for our Vegan friend using egg replacer too J).1/3 cup maple syrup (make sure you use the real stuff rather than the flavoured syrup).4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (we used Nuttelex to keep it dairy free). This recipe was adapted from our new favourite food blog, Love and Zest. Like most, we’ve got some special dietary requirements amongst us so we swapped some of the ingredients around for a few batches here and there. Our Marketing team in Townsville took a little time out to whip up these sweet treats for the office. This celebration is marked on the first Friday of June to honour those of their members who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. We’re big fans of the Salvation Army but possibly even more so now that we know they are the masterminds behind National Donut Day! Granted, it’s a US holiday but today we felt like embracing our donut loving friends across the globe and joining the celebration. Some Fridays that means wearing different coloured socks to work or greeting our teams with extra warmth but on some occasions, we go all out! It’s no secret that Queensland Country has a great internal culture and our Staff love coming to work to help our Members each day, but perhaps something you didn’t know is that each Friday we’re encouraged to enjoy a little Fun Friday activity here and there.
